Last night Gotham collage baseball editor Chip Armonaitis joined hosts Mark Healey and Howard Megdal on the show. On Feb 25th Chip announced the pre-season “All Gotham Team” . Listen to Chip give an update on the progress of the team and talk about the early returns from the college baseball season. Mark and Howard used the second hour to debate current issues and also invited Gotham March Madness contributor David Rubenstein to discuss the upcoming Gotham Bracket Challenge on Yahoo. I took the time earlier in the week to put a night cap on the fan outcry over the Lastings Milledge trade from over three months ago. You got bad, bad luck Bad, bad luck Social Distortion – Bad Luck Spring training, the season of perpetual hope. A time where everyone, from the mighty Red Sox to the lowly Royals believes they have a shot in the upcoming year. Mets fans are no different, especially since obtaining Mr. Santana. But if I may allude to a famous movie, if the 2008 season is the equivalent to the Shawshank Redemption, and the Mets are Andy Dufresne, then the injury bug are the Sisters and right now we’re watching the scene in the laundry room. It isn’t pretty.
