Mark Healey and Mike Silva are back and finally actually live from Mickey Mantle’s. After two weeks of pre-recorded segments the duo returned to put on another solid show. NBA columnist for the Daily News Mitch Lawrence joined the show to talk about the Knicks as well as the races around the league. In the second hour, Gotham contributor Morgan Finegan debated the best pitching performances of all time. Lou Martini Jr. and the cast of the play “Klepto” rounded out the show as they sat down with Mark Healey from The Player's Theater on 115 MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village. I just want to offer a hearty congratulation to everyone for surviving the month of February a.k.a. the worst month in the sports calendar. Those of us who are Giants fans were lucky this year, as the win combined with the euphoria afterwards helped kill the first ten days of the month. Then came pitchers and catchers, which is exciting until you remember there is nothing for you to see unless you enjoy seeing guys running or playing catch. What this means is weekends in February are horrible because there is absolutely nothing to watch or do. It’s too cold out here in the northeast to enjoy any outdoor activities and there is nothing of note to watch on television. Fortunately for my friends and I, our good pal Mike Saccenti helped us out. Actually, his wife Rachel helped us out by having their daughter last Sunday, Emma Elizabeth Saccenti. |
